The secret formula of Coke unveiled?

Producers of the radio program This American Life say they have eventually discovered the secret recipe of the best-selling fizzy beverage!
They have rediscovered an article from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the official newspaper from Coca-Cola's hometown. This article dates back to February 18, 1979 and received little attention at the time. But it is all the more interesting because it is illustrated with a picture from the original recipe, printed before it was declared a secret.

The picture that enabled them to discover the recipe!
The recipe, if you want to try it at home or at the lab, is the following:

Fluid extract of Coca: 3 drams USP

Citric acid: 3 oz
Caffeine: 1 oz
Sugar: 30 (unclear quantity)
Water: 2.5 gal
Lime juice: 2 pints, 1 quart
Vanilla: 1 oz
Caramel: 1.5 oz or more for color

The secret 7X flavor (use 2 oz of flavor to 5 gals syrup):

Alcohol:  8 oz
Orange oil: 20 drops
Lemon oil: 30 drops
Nutmeg oil: 10 drops
Coriander: 5 drops
Neroli: 10 drops
Cinnamon: 10 drops

Consumers who have been asked to compare actual Coke to this beverage have been unable to tell the difference between the two!!
